Two of my old roommates in the same NYMag Party Lines spread.

Last night I saw Kenneth Lonergan’s much-delayed follow up to the wonderful You Can Count On Me. The trailer doesn’t fully express how engrossing this movie is and only the second half gets close to encapsulating what the movie is really about. Lonergan deals with the experience of being a teenager in a way that is so on the mark and, as a result, not always easy to watch. Anna Paquin is pitch perfect (even her shortcomings work in her favor) as a typical teenage girl who witnesses — and is partly responsible for — a horrific accident. Through this, Lonergan explores what happens when the already dramatic, histrionic, everything-is-the-end-of-the-world life of an average teenager is jolted by a situation is quite literally life and death. The results are mesmerizing.
“Unless one of the tractors blows up, I’m going to be fine.”
Last night, Danny and I tuned in to the latest episode of The Good Wife — both looking forward to America Ferrera’s guest star turn — and I was shocked to see (in the first scene no less) that my old roommate Sarah is playing Eli’s daughter! This makes her my second roommate to be on my favorite network drama. I read an interview with Alan Cumming where he said that his character’s 18 year old daughter would “feature prominently in the show.” Needless to say, I’m looking forward to seeing more of her when she gets back from the kibbutz.
Please Give
Shocked to discover my old roommate Sarah playing Catherine Keener and Oliver Platt’s daughter in (the LOVELY and AMAZING) Nicole Holofcener’s Please Give.
Kyra Strikes Back
Sarah was on Gossip Girl again last night! Holla.
My old roommate Sarah Steele was on last night’s Gossip Girl.
She played Kira Abernathy, a new rival and She’s-All-That-esque threat to Little J’s claim as queen of Constance Billard. Hell. Yes. She’s going to be recurring, so I can’t wait to see her in upcoming episodes.

Sarah is going to be on Gossip Girl!
My old roommate Sarah Steele (of Spanglish fame) is going to be on Gossip Girl this November. Entertainment Weekly reports:
She has been cast in the potentially recurring role of Kira Abernathy, a Constance Billard student who attempts to befriend queen bee Jenny. Her first episode airs Nov. 9.
Holla! Now I have two former roommates that have been on the show! Halley being the other.
