Some Like Her Hot
The photo accompanying the article notwithstanding, this GQ profile of Michelle Williams is one of the best interviews I’ve ever read. This, of course, has just as much to do with Michelle as it does with the writer, Chris Heath. Read it, but pay attention to his warning: “If any of it breaks your heart, it was probably already a little broken to begin with.”
The Best Moment Of This Year’s Golden Globe Awards
Perhaps even better than last year’s best Golden Globes moment.
Touch Of Evil
The New York Times Magazine has produced yet another, hopefully annual, set of video portraits of some of this year’s best actors (this time directed by Alex Prager). Last year it was a gallery of “classic film types” and this year it’s “cinematic villains,” featuring Brad Pitt as “The Madman,” Rooney Mara as “The Sociopath,” Gary Oldman as “The Menacing Dummy,” Mia Wasikowska (and this portrait is my favorite) as “The Home Wrecker,” Ryan Gosling as “The Invisible Man,” George Clooney as “The Tyrant,” Viola Davis as “The Vengeful Caretaker,” Kirsten Dunst as “The Siren,” Michael Shannon as “The Tycoon,” Jessica Chastain as “The Fire Starter,” Jean Dujardin as “The Hothead,” Adepero Oduye as “The Outlaw,” and Glenn Close as “The Vamp.”

I saw Super 8 yesterday and have this to say about it: Elle Fanning is the greater of the Fannings.

You can’t trust a girl who doesn’t eat junk food. If a girl doesn’t eat junk food, she’ll probably sleep with your boyfriend.
